Am I fat? Yes. I don't need anyone to tell me that. I've known it for a long time, but like with anything else negative in our lives, I needed to hit the proverbial rock bottom.
I've started diets before and tried to lose weight. I start out strong, but quickly lose interest and get frustrated and just give up. A friend gave us tickets to a local hockey game just a few weeks ago and I nearly cried when I couldn't fit in the seat!! I had to squeeze and finagle myself into the seat to badly that once I was in the seat, I didn't dare try to get out!! That happened one day after I turned 35.
This was my wake up call and my rock bottom. I knew I had to do something and that I needed to do it quickly before I forgot what it was like to be in that seat. It was a gift from God when I learned just a few days later that a friend and nutritionist was heading up an weight loss challenge Biggest Loser style. Without hesitation, I signed up and here we go!!
I am going to use this blog to help me remember where I started and to show myself how far along I've come. The challenge is over on December 28th and it's not possible for me to have reached my goal by them, however, I'm hoping that this will launch me onto the right path. Why am I blogging something so personal? Because if I can inspire or help one person with my journey, then it was worth it. Here's what I ask of you: Hold me accountable and support me. I am weak and I will need help along the way.
No it is now an easy journey and you will do this! I have learned diet is a bad word it is total lifestyle change. The minute we feel we are being deprived we become rebels! I have lost about 25 pounds for the wedding and am happy. Do I want to lose more? Yes but know that it will happen. I know how you feel and want you to know we may not see you all alot but I will follow your blog and support you in this! Good Luck!
